PassMark makes an excellent free tool for checking hardware faults in your RAM modules. You do need a USB pen drive with at least 512 MB of memory that you are happy to wipe clean of data, which the set-up program will create as your testing key.
Download the program here: https://www.memtest86.com/download.htm
Put your USB pen drive into your Windows PC, and run the included imageUSB tool, it should already have the image file selected and you just need to choose which connected USB drive to turn into a bootable drive. Note that this will erase all data on the drive.
To start MemTest86 insert the USB flash drive into the appropriate drive and restart your computer. Note: The UEFI BIOS must be configured to boot from the device that MemTest86 is installed on. Most systems have an optional boot menu that is enabled be pressing a key at startup (often ESC, F9, F11 or F12).
If you have any issues simply raise a ticket and drop us a photo of the screen you are stuck on. We will help you from there.
