How to Enable / Disable XMP & EXPO on ASUS Motherboards

A quick guide to enable / disable xmp an expo on asus motherboards

In this article, we will be using the ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 FORMULA as a reference for this guide.

1. Enter BIOS: Restart your computer and press the Delete key during start-up to enter the BIOS. Ensure you have a Wired keyboard and mouse. A Wireless or Bluetooth device may not work.
2. Switch to EZ Mode: Press F7 to switch from Advance mode to EZ mode if this windows is not already selected:
3. Navigate to XMP / EXPO Setting: On the left side of the windows, you will be able to locate a drop down menu labelled XMP / EXPO
4. Enable/Disable XMP/EXPO: Select the drop down menu. From here you can select your desired XMP/EXPO Profile or Disable it.
5. Save and Exit: Press F10 to save your changes and exit the BIOS. Your system will reboot with the new settings
