Some of the most common set-up problems can be resolved by running through this simple checklist:
- Most, but not all, power supplies (PSU) have an on/off switch. Make sure that as well as the PC being plugged in and switched on at the wall, the switch on the PSU is also set to the on (I) position.
- You only need to connect one display cable between your monitor and the PC.
- If the PC has a graphics card, as shown in the picture below, the monitor needs connecting to the graphics card, not the motherboard.
- If your PC has a wireless card, you will need to screw the antenna/s to the card to get the best reception.
